Flyer forward Nick Lazorko is being honored for his magical weekend as he has been named the MJHL Player of the Week. The pride of Texas scored the overtime winner in games four, five, and six while helping the Flyers knock off the Steelers in the Addison Division Semi-Final.
The Flyers regular season leading scorer was instrumental in finishing off their arch-rivals four games to two in the best of seven Addison Division Semi-Final series.
Lazorko has six points through six playoff games and is the second Flyer in a row to be named the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Player of the Week. Jordan Peters, who took the honor last week is tied for the league lead in playoff scoring with nine points.
The Flyers will travel to the Dakota Community Centre on Saturday for game one of the Addison Division Final against the Winnipeg Saints.
